Why should you choose Aion?
Solutions that Match the Problem
Corporate wellness programs are on the rise, and the positive impact that wellness has on work performance is undisputed. However, many studies show corporate wellness programs to be ineffective for improving employee health. Why? Because employees still have to participate. The same people who already have a poor exercise and diet routine, are unlikely to take advantage of these services anyway.
Many people have access to an affordable gym but still don't use it. That's where Aion steps in to target the real obstacles: the habits, routines, lack of planning, decisions, validation, and mentality.
Aion builds wellness solutions around a team structure to increase success and simultaneously develop workplace camaraderie and communication. However, Aion SHARE is not just completing individual tasks in the same room. Projects are set-up so teammates interact and engage with each other to complete activities. There's no argument that working towards fitness goals in a group is much more likely to provide results because of the built in accountability, inclusiveness, and engagement of activities. It's a win-win!
Sustainable Skills vs Fleeting Product
Aion Share is focused on teaching awareness and problem solving for common obstacles. Again, many wellness programs offer the product- the classes or the gym membership - but do not develop the routines or behaviors that facilitate the healthy activities on a regular basis.
Aion is about the "how", not the "what". The skills and awareness developed through Aion SHARE will stay with employees for a lifetime, encouraging long term changes and increasing the value of the program. Employers do not have to continue paying heavy overhead costs just to maintain positive results.
Teach, Not "Tell"
Aion programming is a personalized process that allows employees to find their best route to success. We are bombarded daily with "do this" and "try that" for the best, quick diet fix. Participants are much more likely to adhere to choices if they were empowered to make them on their own, and they are more likely to choose realistic goals for themselves that they can easily manage.
Many wellness programs I've come across are presented by huge medical insurance providers. Dealing with a company that large can feel like another business transaction. I am one, real person, who has dedicated their life to healing others, who employees can meet and speak to in person.
Many other large programs still have a very medicinal approach, measuring body fat, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc., and the employee feels like a patient instead of a person. While this information is important, it's typically provided through the employee's primary care physician. Plus, this is another product oriented approach. The process and behavior change is still not addressed. Aion speaks to the human in every employee, discussing obstacles like busy mornings, social eating, self-doubt, and feeling confident in a workout space.
All Around Wellness
Because I am personally writing and delivering these programs, I am able to personalize the approach to the needs of the group. If stress is the bigger issue, or snacks in the office, we can adapt the program to meet the needs of any wellness obstacle.
My diverse background allows me to integrate multiple wellness elements such as meditation, behavior change, posture, community building, goal setting, therapeutic exercise, and fitness nutrition. This is not a one-sided exercise-only tactic, it's a lifestyle approach!
